A hearty snack is sold on every corner, but many are happy to cook it at home. If you have not yet decided on your favorite recipe, I advise you to cook shawarma in batter. It turns out even more delicious and juicy. I cooked without meat, and you can use any filling.
Ingredients
For shawarma:
- Tomatoes - 1 piece
- Cabbage - 150 g
- Pickled cucumbers - 100 g
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Mustard - 2 tbsp.l.
- Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp.l.
- Vegetable oil (for frying) – 2 art.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Lavash (thin) – 2 pieces
For batter:
- Chicken eggs - 2 pieces
- Flour - 1 art.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Provencal herbs - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the cabbage, tomato and pickled cucumbers.
Mix chopped vegetables with pepper and salt.
Mix mustard, mayonnaise and garlic passed through the press.
Spread the pita bread and smear with fragrant sauce.
Lay out the vegetable filling, turn up the sides and roll up a tight roll.
In a wide bowl, mix the beaten eggs, flour, spices and salt.
Dip the shawarma in egg batter and fry in a preheated frying pan with oil until golden brown.
