Do you choose beautiful salads for the holiday? Be sure to prepare a "Capercaillie's Nest". It will not take you much time, it will delight you with taste and will be in the center of everyone's attention. I share a recipe with ham and sauerkraut!
Ingredients
- Ham - 250 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Sauerkraut - 150 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Potatoes (medium) – 250 g
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 4 art.l.
- Vegetable oil (for frying) – 2 tbsp.l.
- Cheese (solid) – 100 g
- Dill - 1 twig
- Mayonnaise - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop the ham, carrots, peeled eggs and onions.
Peel the potatoes and grate them on a special grater.
Rinse under running water, squeeze well, mix with pepper and salt.
Fry the potatoes in a preheated frying pan with oil until golden brown and place on a paper napkin.
Grate cheese, add chopped dill, mayonnaise and mix.
Form small balls from the resulting mass and set aside to decorate the finished salad.
In a deep bowl, mix the ham, onion, eggs, carrots and sauerkraut.
Add salt, ground pepper, mayonnaise and mix.
Put the salad on a plate and sprinkle with fried potatoes.
Make a small depression in the center and lay out the cheese balls. Additionally, you can decorate the salad with fresh herbs.
