One of the most unusual, but at the same time delicious combinations of berries in my opinion is cherry and red currant. And today I propose to cook a fragrant and bright compote with them. You can not even peel the currants from the twigs – just rinse well.
Ingredients
- Cherry - 300 g
- Red currant - 300 g
- Water - 1.5 l
- Sugar - 8 tbsp.l .
- Orange peel - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pour the washed berry and zest with water, and bring to a boil.
Add sugar and cook the compote until it dissolves, stirring.
Boil the compote for another 5 minutes to the desired taste and remove from the heat.
