If you like kvass, I strongly advise you to try different options, not just the classic bread. Moreover, all of them are easy to prepare yourself. It takes time, but the effort is minimal. For example, catch a recipe for whole grain oatmeal kvass.
Ingredients
- Oat flakes - 300 g
- Oats - 10 art.l.
- Kefir - 100 ml
- Water - 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Mix oats with flakes.
Send it to a 3-liter jar, pour kefir and add water, not reaching 10 cm to the neck.
Mix, cover with a plastic lid and leave the jar in a warm place for 2 days.
Strain the starter.
Fill the cake with 3-4 cups of water and squeeze. Mix this liquid with the starter culture.
Pour the kvass into jars and leave it warm for another 18-20 hours.
Strain the kvass and bottle it.
