Even if you don't like gooseberries by themselves, the compote from it will surely appeal to you. It turns out to be both expressive, light and refreshing. And also – not too sweet, which is also important, because extra cloying is inappropriate.

Ingredients

  • Gooseberry - 800 g
  • Water - 1.5 l
  • Sugar - 6 tbsp.l .
  • Lemon juice - 3 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Boil water with sugar and boil for a minute.

Add the gooseberries, bring the compote to a boil again and turn down the heat.

Boil the drink for 10 minutes on low heat. A minute before the end, pour in the lemon juice.
