Kvass has always been a very affordable drink that can be found in many stores and supermarkets. It can also be prepared at home using simple ingredients and recipes. Everyone can try their hand and make kvass from white bread.
Ingredients
- White bread - 200 g
- Water - 1 l
- Fresh yeast - 10 g
- Raisins - 30 g
- Lemon - 0.5 pieces
- Sugar - 50 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dry the bread in any way and chop the breadcrumbs into crumbs.
Pour boiling water over the breadcrumbs and leave under the lid for 4-6 hours. Stir occasionally.
Dilute the yeast in warm water and let it stand.
After an hour, add sugar and breadcrumbs to the yeast. Remove the workpiece in a warm place for 12 hours.
When the kvass is infused to the desired taste, strain it.
Bottle, add a slice of lemon and raisins, and put it in the refrigerator.
