Apples are an amazing base not only for compotes and juices, but also for kvass. Once I found such a recipe in an old cookbook, tried it and was completely delighted. Therefore, I will be happy to share it with you. Also without yeast!
Ingredients
- Apples - 5 kg
- Sugar - 500 g
- Black bread - 3-4 slices
- Lemon - 1 piece
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the apples into slices.
Add bread crusts to them.
Add sugar, pour water so that it covers the apples a little, and bring to a boil.
Remove the workpiece from the heat and leave for 2-3 days in a cool place.
Strain the kvass and squeeze the apples.
