One of the main stars of Japanese cuisine is teriyaki sauce. You can buy it ready-made, but often store bottles do not meet expectations at all. The sauce in them is too bland, salty, liquid – yes, whatever. That's why I prefer to cook teriyaki on my own.
Ingredients
- Soy sauce - 150 ml
- Rice vinegar - 1 art.l.
- Ground ginger - 1 tsp.
- Garlic (dried) – 1 tsp.
- Brown Sugar - 4 tsp.
- Starch - 3 tsp.
- Honey - 1 art.l.
- Water - 80 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan, except starch and water.
Bring to a boil, stirring, and boil for a minute.
Dilute the starch in water.
Pour into the teriyaki, continuing to stir.
Boil the sauce a little more until thick and let it cool.
