Sauces have a special role in Georgian cuisine. They always have bright tastes and amazing aromas. One of the most popular, perhaps, can be called the classic cherry plum tkemali. Today we will prepare it.
Ingredients
- Cherry Plum - 1 kg
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Garlic - 20 g
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp.l .
- Fenugreek - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground coriander - 0,5 tsp.
- Sugar - 3 art.l.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Water - 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Put the cherry plum in a saucepan with water and boil for 15 minutes.
Drain the water, wipe the soft fruits through a sieve.
Cut the hot pepper in half lengthwise, peel off the seeds.
Chop the hot pepper and peeled garlic in a blender.
In a small saucepan, mix the fruit puree, the preparation with garlic, salt, sugar, oil and spices.
Boil for 10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
