The popular sauce can be prepared by yourself. To begin with, you will have to arm yourself with patience, because the cooking process takes a whole week. Mainly the taste of Srirachi is influenced by vinegar, which is added by a special technology.
Ingredients
- Chili pepper - 400 g
- Garlic - 3 clove
- Apple cider vinegar - 60 ml
- Sugar - 3 tbsp.l .
- Salt (with slide) – 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the chili pepper in half, peel off the seeds and stalks.
Peel the garlic cloves, lightly crush them with a knife blade and cut into large chunks.
Chop chili pepper and garlic in a blender.
Add sugar, salt, mix and pour into a high container, leaving at least a third of it free. Cover with gauze and put aside for a week. The sauce should be mixed every day.
Divide the vinegar into three parts and pour it into the jar with the preparation every other day, starting from the second day.
After 7 days, chop the sauce again in a blender.
Wipe the resulting mass through a sieve to remove large particles.
Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes. As a result, it should turn out thick.
