Pour oil into the bowl of the slow cooker and add chopped onions and carrots.

Add the beets there and fry all together for 15 minutes in the "Frying" mode.

5 minutes before the end, add tomato paste, a little water and spices. Mix it up.

Put the pieces of pork, chopped cabbage and sliced potatoes on top.

Fill with water, add more spices and cook borscht for about 2 hours in the "Soup" mode.
