Fish always goes well with fresh tomatoes. So why not add them to the herring under the fur coat? From personal experience, I can assure you — it's incredibly delicious. On our table, such a salad does not last long!
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Tomatoes - 200 g
- Processed cheese - 60 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Mayonnaise - 200 ml
- Greenery (for decoration) – 3 twigs
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut it and cut it into small pieces.
Grate eggs, cheese and boiled vegetables. Chop onions, herbs and tomatoes with a knife.
Put the herring, onion and potatoes on a plate in layers. Add pepper, salt and brush generously with mayonnaise.
Arrange the eggs and beets on top. Salt and pepper each layer.
Spread the tomato slices thickly on the sides. Add cheese, mayonnaise and herbs on top.
Put the salad in the refrigerator for 2 hours so that all the ingredients are soaked.
