Delicious Hungarian goulash is widely known outside of its homeland. As a result of such popularity, many interesting recipes have emerged. I'm telling you a version of goulash at home. It is prepared from pork with garlic and hot pepper.
Ingredients
- Pork - 600 g
- Potatoes (medium) – 5 pieces
- Bell pepper - 250 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 clove
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Smalets - 3 art.l.
- Tomato paste - 50 g
- Paprika (sweet) – 1 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Water (filtered) – 1 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the pork, dry it and cut it into small pieces.
Peel and slice potatoes, bell peppers, onions.
Cut the hot red pepper in half, peel the seeds, rinse and chop.
Melt the lard in a frying pan and fry the pork until golden brown.
Add onion, Bulgarian and hot peppers, continue to fry for 8-10 minutes.
Add potatoes, paprika and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour in hot water mixed with tomato paste and simmer under the lid for 40 minutes on low heat.
Squeeze garlic through a press, add salt and remove from heat after 5 minutes.
