Did you buy a big carp? Bake it with lemon in the oven. The recipe is very simple and affordable! You will need a lemon, a little vegetable oil and a standard set of spices. Thanks to the foil, the fish turns out very juicy and soft. Mashed potatoes, boiled rice or vegetables are suitable as a side dish.

Peel the carp from the scales, remove the gills, gut, rinse and dry with a paper towel.

Scald lemon with boiling water, cut in half. Squeeze out the juice from one part, cut the second into half slices.

Rub the fish with salt, thyme, ground black pepper and coriander. Leave to marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.

Sprinkle with lemon juice, vegetable oil and spread evenly over the entire surface.

Make incisions on each side of the carp. They should be deep, but not touch the bones.

Insert lemon halves into each incision, carefully transfer the fish to foil.

Cover tightly with a second sheet of foil and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40 minutes.

Carefully remove the foil and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.

Put the baked carp on a large plate, garnish with lemon and rosemary sprigs.
