Many Eastern peoples cook shurpa — a rich soup with meat and vegetables. The main feature is the high fat content of the dish. For this reason, it is worth choosing pieces of meat with fat for cooking. I share a simple recipe for beef shurpa.
Ingredients
- Beef (on the dice) – 500 g
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Bell pepper (different colors) – 2 pieces
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Allspice - 2 peas
- Black Pepper - 3 peas
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 2 l
- Green onion (for submission) – 2 stems
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the beef, put it in a deep saucepan, add the bay leaf, allspice and black pepper.
Pour in cold water and cook for 1.5 hours after boiling. Remove the foam that will appear in the process.
Peel potatoes, bell peppers, onions and carrots.
Cut the bell pepper into large pieces and throw it into the soup.
Pour potatoes, carrots and onions into a saucepan whole. Boil for another 10 minutes.
Add salt to taste and turn off the heat.
Serve the shurpa, sprinkling with finely chopped green onions.
