One of the most recognizable dishes of Ukrainian cuisine can be called dumplings. They are prepared with different dough and fillings. Today I'm telling you a recipe for dumplings with cabbage. The dish is lean, but very satisfying!

Ingredients

For Dough:
  • Flour - 3 glasses
  • Water (warm) – 200 ml
  • Salt - 0,5 tsp.
  • Green onion (for submission) – 2 of the stem
For filling:

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Sift the flour into a deep bowl and collect it with a slide.

Add salt, warm water and knead the plastic dough. Cover with cling film and set aside for 20 minutes.

Chop the fresh cabbage into thin strips, peel the onion and chop it.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and fry until golden brown. Select part of the frying with oil for serving.

Add fresh and sauerkraut to the rest. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring the vegetables from time to time.

Pepper, turn off the heat and leave for 10 minutes under the lid.

Knead the dough and roll out the sausage about 4-5 centimeters in diameter.

Cut into identical pieces. Roll each one out with a rolling pin into thin cakes.

Put the filling on the tortilla and seal tightly around the edges. Repeat the steps with the rest of the dough and filling.

Add salt to boiling water, add dumplings and mix. Cook for 5-6 minutes after boiling.

Fish the dumplings with a slotted spoon into a bowl, add the prepared roast, chopped green onions and mix gently.
