There are a lot of ways to bake mackerel with potatoes, and this is one of my favorites. Tomatoes contain natural acids, and this makes fish meat juicier and more tender. Approximately on the same principle, we use lemon or other citrus fruits in cooking.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Peel the mackerel and rub with spices for the fish.

Cut tomatoes and lemon into thin slices, stuff the fish.

Chop the onion, thinly slice the potatoes and put them in a mold.

Spread the remaining tomatoes on top, and fish on them.

Put lemon slices on the fish and sprinkle everything with chopped herbs.

Bake at 190 degrees for 30 minutes under foil and another 10-15 without it.
