Baursaks at home remind me of lazy homemade pies. If you pour honey on them or sprinkle with powdered sugar, they become a wonderful dessert for tea.
Ingredients
Step-by-step cooking recipe
First prepare the sourdough. To do this, combine milk and water and heat a little, but do not boil. Then add sugar and yeast, mix and set aside for 15 minutes.
After the sourdough starts playing, add salt and flour there. Mix well and set aside for another 15 minutes.
Knead the dough, roll out into a sausage and divide into portions. Roll each piece into a ball.
Boil the oil. There should be enough oil to completely cover the baursaks. Toss them in the oil and cook until they are golden brown.
Take out the finished baursaks on a paper towel, transfer to a dish after a couple of minutes and sprinkle with powdered sugar. You can also pour honey or chocolate over them.
