In our family, everyone loves traditional German pastries, namely charlotte. That's because you can use completely different fruits. One of our favorites is a charlotte with pears, a wonderful dessert on autumn days.
Ingredients
- Flour - 200 g
- Pear - 6 pieces
- Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
- Sugar - 50 g
- Baking powder dough - 20 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
For a delicious charlotte, it is important to prepare a sponge dough. Break the eggs, add sugar to them and beat with a mixer until doubled in size.
Mix the flour with baking powder and sift so that the flour gets air. So the dough will be airy.
Add the flour to the eggs in portions, do not stop whipping until the flour is finished and the dough becomes elastic and homogeneous.
Wash the pears, cut in half and remove the middle. Cut into thin slices.
Take a baking dish, cover the bottom with parchment. Pour half of the dough on the bottom of the mold, then lay out the pears and pour the second half of the dough.
Bake the charlotte in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 180C. When the charlotte is ready, do not rush to get it out of the mold. Leave it there for 15 minutes and let it cool. After that, take it out on a platter and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
