Surprise your guests with a delicious Asian treat! The recipe for Tatar yeast-free baursaks is so simple that even a child can cope with it! It can be served with tea, ayran, warm milk, with sweet sauce or simply sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • Flour - 650 g
  • Kefir (3,2%) – 500 ml
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp.l .
  • Butter - 50 g
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Baking powder dough - 10 g
  • Vegetable oil - 500 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Sift the flour thoroughly.

Melt the butter in a water bath or in a microwave oven.

Add salt, sugar, baking powder and melted butter to kefir at room temperature. Mix well until the salt and sugar are completely dissolved.

Gradually add most of the flour. Knead the soft dough with a spatula.

When the dough becomes homogeneous, add the remaining flour and continue to knead with your hands.

Add 50 ml of vegetable oil to the dough. Knead again until smooth. You should get a soft and elastic dough.

Cover the finished dough with a film and leave to rise for about 1 hour.

Sprinkle the table with flour, gently knead the dough and roll out into a layer 2-2.5 cm thick.

Then cut the dough into small squares or rhombuses (you can also cut circles with the neck of a small glass).

Fry the baursaks in hot vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown.

Remove excess fat from the finished baursaks with paper towels.

Serve the baursaks hot, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
