Another great way to pickle cucumbers for the winter is citric acid. It replaces vinegar and actually performs the same function. These cucumbers are perfectly stored even in the closet in the apartment.

Ingredients

For Marinade:
  • Water - 1.5 l
  • Salt - 2 art.l.
  • Sugar - 5 tbsp.l.
  • Bay leaf - 5 pieces
  • Allspice - 7 peas

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Put the peeled garlic, pieces of horseradish root, chili and dill umbrellas in a jar.

Soak cucumbers in cold water for 3-4 hours and place them tightly on top.

Boil the water with all the ingredients for the marinade and boil for 5 minutes.

Pour the cucumbers with boiling water for 10 minutes and drain it. Pour boiling water again for another 5 minutes and drain again.

Add mustard seeds and citric acid, pour the cucumbers with boiling marinade and roll up the jar.
