Fig jam is delicious and interesting. But I prefer to roll it in jars entirely, just in syrup. It turns out a full-fledged ready-made dessert. He doesn't even need any yogurt or cottage cheese – you can just serve such figs in a bowl for tea.
Ingredients
- Figs - 1 kg
- Water - 300 ml
- Sugar - 800 g
- Citric acid - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil water with sugar and boil the syrup for 5 minutes.
Peel the figs, pour in the syrup and leave overnight.
Bring the billet to a boil and boil for 10-15 minutes.
Let cool again and cook for another 10 minutes.
Repeat the previous step. At the end, add citric acid.
Arrange the figs in syrup in sterilized jars for the winter.
