When I first heard about watermelon peel jam, I was surprised. But after I tried this recipe with orange, I was delighted! Choose only fresh watermelon rind. This jam is great for use on toast or as a filling for cakes and pies.
Ingredients
- Watermelon rind - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Orange - 2 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop the watermelon rind, cover with sugar and leave overnight.
Squeeze the juice out of the oranges and add it to the same place.
Bring the billet to a boil and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
Allow the workpiece to cool completely. Boil again for 10 minutes.
Repeat the previous step again.
Roll up the jam in sterile jars for the winter.
