I share a simple recipe for delicious apricot jam slices in syrup. Although we will cook it in several approaches, your participation here is minimal. I advise you to choose dense, slightly unripe apricots so that when cooking the fruits do not turn into mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • Apricots (net weight) – 2 kg
  • Sugar - 2 kg
  • Water - 1 glass

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse the apricots, divide them into halves and remove the bones. Place the prepared fruits in a cooking pot.

Boil syrup from water and sugar.

Pour boiling sugar syrup over the apricot halves. Shake the pan several times so that the syrup evenly covers all the apricots. Leave the blank for a few hours (you can do it overnight) so that the apricots let the juice in.

When the apricots give enough juice, bring the workpiece to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and boil the jam for 5-7 minutes, removing the resulting foam. Remove the pan from the heat and leave to cool completely.

Repeat the boiling procedure twice more with breaks of several hours.

After the third cooking, pour the boiling jam into pre-sterilized jars, seal tightly, turn upside down, wrap up and leave until completely cooled. Store the cooled workpiece in a cool, dark place.
