Figs are a godsend for making homemade jam. It is sweet in itself, and immediately gives an excellent texture. But such jam can be very cloying, especially if you don't have a particularly sweet tooth. However, this is not a reason to give up your favorite dessert. I suggest you just dilute it with lemon.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Scald the lemon with boiling water, cut it with the peel and remove the bones. Put it through a meat grinder.
Peel the figs and also pass through the meat grinder.
Add sugar, bring the jam to a boil and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
Roll it up in sterilized jars.
