Tomato paste does not have to be bought every time. You can just cook it once, and roll it yourself into small jars. This is much easier than it seems, and there will definitely be no questionable ingredients and unnecessary preservatives in the composition.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 2 kg
- Sugar - 3 art.l.
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l .
- Vegetable oil - 40 ml
- Apple cider vinegar - 60 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pass the tomatoes through a meat grinder and cook until fully cooked over low heat.
Grind them through a sieve. Add butter, salt and sugar to the puree.
Cook the pasta for up to 2 hours to the desired thickness.
Pour in the vinegar and roll the tomato into sterile jars.
