A great way to diversify and complement cherry jam is to add nuts to it. Such recipes are especially popular in the cuisine of the Caucasian regions. At the same time, cherry varieties can be taken any – red or white, but preferably sweet.
Ingredients
- Cherry - 1.5 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Walnuts - 300 g
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- Lemon juice - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Remove the seeds from the cherry, cover it with sugar and leave for an hour.
Boil over low heat for about 20 minutes.
Add chopped nuts, cinnamon and lemon juice.
Cook the jam for another 10 minutes or more - according to the desired consistency.
Roll the jam into sterile jars.
