If you think that pea soup is something very simple and ordinary, then you should try this recipe. Even such a familiar homemade dish can be turned into a real treat for gourmets, if you experiment a little.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Peas (crushed) – 200 g
- Cream (bold) – 100 ml
- Cream cheese - 150 g
- Garlic - 2 clove
- Leek - 1 piece
- Butter - 20 g
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
- Nutmeg - 0.5 tsp.
- Hot red pepper - 1 pinch
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the chicken fillet for 40 minutes on low heat. Strain the broth, and set aside the chicken for serving or another dish.
Add the washed crushed peas to the boiling broth and cook until soft.
Chop garlic, carrots and leeks, and fry in butter.
Put it in the soup and boil for another 5 minutes.
Grind the mass with a blender until smooth.
Pour in warm cream, add cream cheese and spices, and put everything on the stove.
Cook the soup, stirring, until the cheese dissolves. If desired, whisk with a blender again.
