Have you ever tried cooking dried pears at home? But this is more than real. You need to have time and patience, and otherwise the oven will do almost all the work itself. Even very inexperienced cooks will cope, and in winter such pears will perfectly complement various dishes and drinks.
Ingredients
- Pear - 500 g
- Water - 500 ml
- Sugar - 100 g
- Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the pears and cut into quarters. You can leave the small ones entirely.
Mix water with citric acid and pour over the pears for an hour.
Drain the water, cover the pears with sugar and leave overnight under pressure at room temperature.
Put them in a colander, let them drain and put them on a parchment-lined baking sheet in one layer.
Put the pears in the oven at 100 degrees for 2-4 hours, depending on the size.
