This recipe will appeal to fans of culinary experiments. Unusual jam made of red tomatoes is an amazing dish that will conquer your stomach from the first spoonful. It is not necessary to add lemon juice and zest, but with them the taste is much more interesting.

Wash the lemon with boiling water, dry it and remove the zest.

Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.

Peel the tomatoes, cut into small pieces and put them in a saucepan with a thick bottom.

Cover with sugar, cover with lids and leave for 2 hours.

Bring to a boil over low heat and add the zest.

Boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat and set aside for 1 hour.

Boil again for 5 minutes and leave for 1 hour.

Bring the jam to a boil for the third time, pour in lemon juice and boil for 5 minutes.

Arrange the hot jam in clean, dry jars, roll it up and turn it upside down.
