Polish mushrooms taste very similar to white ones. They can be fried, dried, salted and, of course, pickled. I suggest marinating these delicious mushrooms for the winter according to a simple recipe. This noble snack will decorate any festive table.

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms - 1,2 kg
  • Water - 1 l
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • Black Pepper (peas) – to taste
  • Mustard Seeds - to taste
  • Coriander - to taste
  • Vinegar (9%) – 3 art.l.
  • Sugar - 2 art.l.
  • Salt - 1 art.l.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Place the mushrooms in a deep container, fill with cold water and leave for 1 hour. Then rinse, clean of sand and forest debris, cut large specimens into pieces, leave small ones intact.

Put the prepared mushrooms in boiling water, add salt, boil for 40 minutes over low heat, removing the foam. Then discard the mushrooms in a colander.

For the marinade, combine water, salt, sugar and spices, mix everything and bring to a boil, then add vinegar.

Put the boiled mushrooms in the boiling marinade, boil for about 5 minutes after boiling.

Pack the boiling mushrooms in pre-sterilized jars, pour the marinade to the top of the jars, seal tightly, turn upside down, wrap and leave to cool completely. Store the cooled pickled mushrooms in a cool dark place.
