Do you want to cook a real rustic pea soup? From one spoon you will be transported by thoughts to a distant childhood. Remember how they ran barefoot along forest paths, and grandma cooked the most delicious soup in the world for lunch. It is such associations that this wonderful dish evokes!

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the peas and soak them in cold water for 2 hours.

Rinse the peas again, pour into a saucepan with boiling broth and cook for 1 hour over low heat.

Chop the smoked ribs, carrots, peeled onions and potatoes.

In a preheated frying pan with oil, fry the onion until golden brown.

Add carrots, ribs and continue to fry for 7-10 minutes.

In a saucepan with peas, pour the roast with ribs. Simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.

Remove the meat from the pan, separate it from the bone, chop it and throw it back.

Add the potato cubes, cover and cook the soup for another 10 minutes.

Add salt, ground black pepper, squeeze garlic through a press.

Cover the finished pea soup with a lid, wrap it with a towel and insist for 20 minutes. When serving, add a parsley leaf to the plate.
