Pickled sliced cucumbers in Finnish for winter
I love this recipe of crispy pickled cucumbers for the simplicity of cooking. There is no sterilization and multiple fillings, while the workpiece is well stored in a city apartment. It turns out delicious and fragrant, I advise you to prepare a couple of jars.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 1 kg
- Bay leaf - 1 pcs.
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp.
- Water - 650 ml
- Vinegar (6%) – 110 ml
- Sugar - 85 g
- Salt - 10 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash cucumbers, cut into circles 1.5-2 cm thick.
For the marinade, combine water, salt, sugar, mustard seeds and bay leaf. Stir, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
Place the prepared cucumbers in the boiling marinade, cover with a lid and bring to a boil.
Add vinegar, stir and boil for another 3 minutes. Cucumbers should change color to a darker one.
Pack the hot billet into pre-sterilized jars, roll it up, turn it upside down, wrap it up and leave it to cool completely. Transfer the cooled pickled cucumbers to a cool, dark place for storage.
