There are different ways to make nut jam. One of them is to use green walnuts. We will have to be patient and take into account a few nuances. But I will tell you in detail about each of them in the recipe. And the result is definitely worth the effort!
Ingredients
- Walnuts (green) – 1 kg
- Water - 1 l
- Sugar - 1 kg
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Work with green nuts only with gloves. First, make a lot of punctures in each with a needle or a large needle.
If the nut is not pierced, it does not fit.
Fill the nuts with cold water and soak them for about 10 days. Change the water 2-3 times during the day.
Fill the nuts with clean water, bring to a boil and cook under a lid on low heat for 3 hours.
If necessary, add water so that it covers the fruits.
Boil the syrup from a liter of water and sugar, and send the nuts there.
Cook them on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Leave the workpiece to cool for 12 hours and boil again for 5-7 minutes. And so 3-4 times.
Roll the green nut jam into sterile jars.
