Cherry tomatoes give the usual borscht pleasant sweet notes. I like to cook with them much more than just with ordinary tomato paste. After all, what could be better than fresh and healthy vegetables.
Ingredients
- Chicken - 300 g
- Potatoes - 4 pieces
- Cherry tomatoes - 400 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Beetroot - 1 piece
- Cabbage - 300 g
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Water - 4 l
- Spices and seasonings - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the chicken over low heat until almost ready.
Add the sliced potatoes and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
Chop the cabbage, chop the onion and pepper, grate the beets and chop the tomatoes.
Fry the onion until soft, add the beets and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes and simmer until thickened. Add chopped garlic and spices.
When the potatoes are cooked, add cabbage, pepper and dressing to the soup. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
