Today I will share with you a recipe for gooseberry jam with apples, which can be prepared without sterilization. This is an easy and quick way to keep the summer taste for the winter. The addition of apples gives the jam a delicate taste and aroma that will delight you on cold days.
Ingredients
- Apples - 700 g
- Gooseberry - 800 g
- Water - 120 ml
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the syrup from water and sugar, and boil for 5 minutes.
Peel and slice the apples. Cut off the gooseberry tails.
Put everything in the syrup and cook for another 15 minutes.
Lightly mash the jam with a crush, add citric acid and boil for another 10 minutes.
Scald the jars with boiling water or steam.
Roll up the jam for the winter.
