It would seem that it could be simpler than ordinary apple jam. But even it can be transformed beyond recognition – just add a little spice. Moreover, apples always go very well with spices.
Ingredients
- Apples - 500 g
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Sugar - 150 g
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.l .
- Thyme - 2 twigs
- Rosemary - 1 twig
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the apples, cut out the middle and finely chop to taste.
Add lemon juice, chopped hot pepper, a whole bay leaf and sprigs of thyme and rosemary to them. Cover with sugar and leave for 2 hours.
Put the pan on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes on low heat, stirring.
Remove the twigs and bay leaf and boil the jam a little more to the desired consistency.
Let the mass cool down a little, grind it with a blender, bring it to a boil again and roll it into jars.
