Ingredients
- Plums - 1,2 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Water - 100 ml (+2.5 L)
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the plums, remove the tails, and flip them into a colander.
Boil 2.5 liters of water. Place the plums in boiling water and leave for 5 minutes, then discard in a colander.
Prick the cooled fruits with a toothpick in several places so that the syrup evenly penetrates into the plums.
In a cooking bowl, combine sugar and 100 ml of water. Stir, bring to a boil and boil the syrup over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Place the prepared plums in the boiling syrup. Stir and boil for 5 minutes, removing the foam. Then remove the jam from the heat and leave to infuse for 6 hours.
Similarly, boil the jam 2 more times.
After the third, final cooking, pour the boiling jam into pre-sterilized jars, seal tightly and cool. Store the cooled plum jam in a cool dark place.
