If you have these two wonderful berries, be sure to try this recipe. Gooseberry and red currant jelly is a delicious combination of flavors, light astringency and wonderful aromas. Such a blank should be stored in a dark, cool place.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 2 kg
- Red currant - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1,5 kg
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pick the berries, peel and rinse thoroughly.
Grind in a blender or pass through a meat grinder several times.
Rub the resulting mass through a sieve to get rid of the seeds and peel. If desired, this stage can be skipped.
Add sugar, stir and set aside for 30 minutes.
Boil twice for 5 minutes, taking a break for 1 hour.
Fill the prepared jars with hot jelly and roll them up.
