Favorite dried candied fruits can be cooked by yourself. This is much easier than it seems, but it requires time and patience. In this recipe I will tell you how to dry cherries correctly. Be sure to store it in a dry place.

Ingredients

  • Cherry - 1 kg
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Sugar - 1.1 kg

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash and sort the cherries, remove the pits.

Boil the water. Add sugar, stir until dissolved and cook for another 5 minutes.

Pour the cherry syrup and leave overnight.

Bring the berries to a boil again, boil for 10 minutes and leave for another 5 hours.

Boil the berries again, put them in a colander and leave for 1-2 hours.

Put the cherries on a sieve in one layer and leave to dry for a couple of days in a dry ventilated room.
