Mint grows in our dacha next to gooseberry bushes. The combination of flavors led me to the idea that you can make jam from gooseberries with mint. The experiment was a success — everyone really liked the jam! Now I'm sharing the recipe with you.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 3 kg
- Mint - 5 twigs
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Citric acid - 2 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pick the gooseberries, rinse and place in a saucepan.
Tear the mint leaves from the twigs, rinse and add to the pan with berries.
Cover with sugar and leave for a couple of hours at room temperature.
Put the pan on low heat and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from the stove and set aside to cool.
Bring the mass to a boil again, add citric acid and boil for another 5-7 minutes.
Arrange the hot jam in sterilized jars and roll it up.
