Every year I cook jam from pears through a meat grinder. Due to its thick consistency, it is convenient to use for filling pies and rolls. It is recommended to cook in a wide saucepan with a thick bottom, or even better in a copper basin.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the pears into quarters, remove the core with the seeds.

Pass the fruit through the meat grinder.

Mix the resulting mass with sugar and leave for 1 hour.

Simmer for 40-50 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Put the pear jam in sterilized jars, roll it up and leave it in a warm place for a day.
