There are many "star duets" in cooking and tomatoes with basil are one of the most popular. Imagine how delicious it will turn out if you cook homemade ketchup with basil! I do not add spices to preserve the natural flavor of the product as much as possible.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Peel tomatoes and cut into small pieces.

Put tomatoes and basil in a saucepan.

Pour in water and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.

Rub through a sieve to get rid of the peel and seeds.

Mix the resulting mass with sugar, salt and butter.

Boil over low heat to the desired density. On average, it takes 20-30 minutes.

Pour in the vinegar, remove from the heat and place in the prepared jars.
