One of the original basics for making jam is strawberry physalis. This is a good solution for those who are bored with the banal classics, and want more experiments. Such jam can be made at home or as an outlandish souvenir.
Ingredients
- Physalis (strawberry) – 500 g
- Sugar - 400 g
- Cinnamon - 1 wand
- Lemon - 0.25 pieces
- Water - 4 art.l.
- Star anise - 1 asterisk
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Clean, rinse and dry the physalis. Pierce the berries with a toothpick.
Boil water with sugar, star anise, cinnamon and lemon slices. Boil the syrup for 15 minutes on low heat. Remove the spices.
Add physalis to the syrup and cook for another 20 minutes.
Let the jam cool and cook for another 20 minutes. And so again.
Roll the strawberry physalis jam into sterile jars.
