Red currant juice turns out to be quite concentrated. Dilute it with boiled water before use and, if necessary, add sugar. A delicious and healthy homemade drink in winter will be a good alternative to store-bought juices.
Ingredients
- Red Currant - 500 g
- Water - 500 ml
- Sugar - 120 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Carefully remove the currant from the twigs, sort and rinse under running water.
Place the berries in a cooking pot and mash with a masher.
Add water, stir, bring the workpiece to a boil and boil over low heat for half an hour.
Wipe the boiling mass through a fine sieve. Squeeze the cake, we won't need it anymore.
Return the resulting currant juice to the fire, add sugar, mix until smooth and boil over low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Pour the boiling juice into a pre-sterilized jar and roll it up. Turn the jar upside down, wrap it up and leave it to cool completely. Store the cooled red currant juice in a cool, dark place.
