Cabbage soup from fresh cabbage for winter in cans
To please the family with delicious cabbage soup, let's prepare a couple of jars of fragrant dressing for the winter. Cabbage soup in a jar is a good basis for a full-fledged first course. Add the contents of the jar to the boiling broth with potatoes and boil for 15 minutes. Hearty soup is ready!
Ingredients
- Cabbage - 1,5 kg
- Tomatoes - 600 g
- Onion - 600 g
- Carrots - 600 g
- Bell pepper - 600 g
- Black Pepper (with peas) – 10 pcs.
- Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Vinegar (9%) – 100 ml
- Sugar - 4 art.l.
- Salt - 2 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the cabbage. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Peel the Bulgarian pepper from the seeds and stalks, cut into strips. Cut the tomatoes into cubes.
Fry finely chopped onion in preheated vegetable oil.
Add the rest of the prepared vegetables to the onion alternately. Mix everything, bring to a boil over low heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add salt, sugar, bay leaf and pepper to the boiling mass. Stir and simmer everything together for 5 minutes.
Add vinegar, mix well and simmer for another 5 minutes under the lid.
Pack the boiling dressing into pre-sterilized jars, roll it up, turn it upside down, wrap it up and leave it to cool completely. Store the cooled workpiece in a cool, dark place.
