It is very difficult to imagine Ukrainian borscht without cabbage. But in fact, this is not at all a mandatory ingredient in traditional recipes. Today I will tell you how you can easily do without it, and what else to add to such a borscht.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Beetroot - 3 pieces
- Carrots - 3 pieces
- Beans (boiled or canned) – 200 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Coarsely chop the chicken and potatoes, put them in a bowl of a slow cooker and fill with water.
Turn on the soup cooking mode for an hour.
After half an hour, add the beets and carrots cut into strips.
7 minutes before the end of the program, add the beans and spices. Cook the borscht until tender.
