Cherry jam or compote is good, but have you ever tried pickled cherries for winter? There are some subtleties of cooking, which I will tell you more about later in the recipe. Such cherries are good on their own, in snacks or in cocktails.
Ingredients
- Cherry - 2.5 kg
- Cherry leaves - 6 pieces
- Water - 1 l
- Sugar - 2 glasses
- Cardamom - 5 pieces
- Allspice - 10 peas
- Wine vinegar - 1 glass
- Salt - 1 pinch
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the cherries, remove the pits and put the cherries in sterile jars. Add the leaves there as well.
Boil the water with all the other ingredients except vinegar.
Add the vinegar, boil the marinade for another minute, pour in the cherries and roll up the jars.
