A friend shared this miracle recipe with me many years ago. I think that this billet is absolutely irreplaceable for the winter and I don't know how I used to do without it. Open the jar and 2 ingredients for olivier or vinaigrette are already there. Economical, isn't it?
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 250 g
- Green peas - 250 g
- Water - 350 ml
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Sugar - 2 art.l.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Vinegar (9%) – 1 tbsp.l.
- Greenery - to taste
- Spices and seasonings - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pre-boil the peas in salted water for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
Boil the water separately.
At the bottom of pre-sterilized jars, put the greens that you usually take for blanks, then place cucumbers, garlic and spices to taste. Add the green peas. Pour boiling water, then drain the water. Repeat the procedure again.
Prepare the marinade: combine water, sugar, salt and vinegar, bring to a boil. Pour boiling marinade over cucumbers with peas, roll up.
Cool the jars of cucumbers and peas upside down and put them away for long-term storage in a cool dark place.
