One of the most non–obvious ingredients for homemade jam for winter is bananas. Although they are usually available in the cold season, they perfectly diversify even the most banal and familiar recipes, like apple jam.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel and slice the apples. Fill with water and boil until soft.
Add chopped peeled bananas, sugar and vanilla.
Boil the jam until the sugar dissolves. Then - if desired, whisk with a blender.
Cook the jam for another 20 minutes and roll it into sterile jars.
